Miles Sanderson is a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP), bodyworker, touch therapist, leadership mentor, therapist, and group facilitator with over 18 years of experience in trauma resolution, bodywork, counselling-informed practice, and experiential education.

Working across individual therapy sessions, group facilitation, practitioner mentoring, supervision, and professional training programs, Miles brings an integrative and trauma-informed approach to his work. He is about to finish a Master of Counselling through the University of Canberra, further expanding his practice through evidence-based therapeutic frameworks.

Miles offers individual sessions that weave together Somatic Experiencing®, counselling processes, therapeutic touch/bodywork, and experiential facilitation. His approach supports clients in developing greater nervous system regulation, self-awareness, resilience, embodiment, and an expanded sense of well-being. He strives to meet people where they are, helping them gently explore new ways of relating to themselves, others, and life experiences with greater capacity and ease.

Alongside client work, Miles provides individual and group supervision, mentoring, and case consultation for practitioners and students. He is passionate about supporting therapists, facilitators, and bodyworkers to deepen their clinical awareness, confidence, embodied presence, and understanding of nervous system dynamics within both individual and group settings.

Miles has facilitated trainings and workshops throughout Australia, New Zealand, India and Asia. He believes deeply in learning through direct experience and is passionate about sharing knowledge in ways that are accessible, embodied, and easy to integrate. In group settings, he works with both the individual and the wider “organism” of the group, weaving Somatic Experiencing® principles into the collective process.

His therapeutic style is grounded, compassionate, relational, and experiential, bringing curiosity, sensitivity, gentleness, and playfulness into the therapeutic and learning space.

Based between Norfolk Island and Australia, Miles travels frequently for both work and pleasure. Outside of his professional life, he is creative, enjoys gardening, and loves cooking.
